STEPHANIE DAY (*1991 in São Paulo) is a dancer, performer, dance pedagogue and communicator, based in Berlin since 2017. She graduated in Classical Ballet at the Royal Academy of Dance in São Paulo in 2000, studied Social Communication at the University of Adverstising and Marketing ESPM in São Paulo until 2013 and Dance Pedagogy and Choreography at the UDK Berlin Career College in 2018 in Berlin. She is currently studying performative arts at “Die Etage”, in Berlin.
In the last years, Stephanie has worked as a dancer and a dance pedagogue across different fields, always incorporating her passion for contemporary dance and her desire to investigate interdisciplinary art. Stephanie is part of the JugendKunstPaten
e. V. since 2017, having collaborating with its artists since then. She currently teaches contemporary dance mixed with Brazilian Styles and Intuitive Dance, at Motion*s Dance Studio and with independent groups from different levels, as well as short-term workshops. Her main research and work themes are the "Sacred Feminine", the body and movement potentialities during the different phases of the menstruation cycle and sexuality. Together with Ana Ornelas und Carolina Schomer she is also one of the voices behind @iamtheclitoris, a sex education project designed to spread cliteracy.
